Music Thursday: Niyaz “Dilruba”

Because Monday is already taken. This column will feature music I listen to when I write, or maybe sometimes music I just like (and therefore think everyone else should, too).

If I were to put together a soundtrack to Daughters of Shadow and Blood – Book I: Yasamin, this song by Niyaz would be on it, playing during a very specific scene. I guess you’ll have to read it to figure out which one:

Incidentally, a dilruba is a stringed instrument played with a bow popular in northern India and Pakistan. The lyrics are in Urdu.

Thank you for the amazing music. I added to my favorite. Alive and powerful song.
