Music Thursday: Libera “Salva Me”

Because Monday is already taken. This column will feature music I listen to when I write, or maybe sometimes music I just like (and therefore think everyone else should, too).

Salva Me means “Save Me” in Latin. Nothing like a good Gregorian chant to get the writing gears going. There are lots of tambourine shots in this video, but try not to let that distract:

Libera is an all-boys choir based in London. Many of the members are from the parish choir of St. Philip’s, Norbury. The boys are generally between the ages of seven and sixteen. Like this one, may of their songs take elements of the Latin liturgy and combine them with contemporary arrangements.
