Because Monday is already taken. This column will feature music I listen to when I write, or maybe sometimes music I just like (and therefore think everyone else should, too).
You can never have too many fiddles. Or Irish step dancers:
Leahy is a Canadian folk group from Lakefield, Ontario. All of the members are from the Leahy family, which consists of eleven siblings. Their roots are Irish, and if you listen you can hear subtle differences from the Scottish fiddle tradition. You can also hear influences in their music from the fiddle tradition of the Canadian French. Donnell Leahy, the “chief fiddler,” (the guy in the red shirt) is married to Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster.
