Because Monday is already taken. This column will feature music I listen to when I write, or maybe sometimes music I just like (and therefore think everyone else should, too).
I really enjoy classical music, but I am not a purist. While I do like to listen to compositions as they were written, I also enjoy it when modern musicians put their own twist on things. This is a unique take on J.S. Bach’s Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1: Prelude with eight cellos, each part performed by the same cellist. Pay attention to around 2:35, when he throws a bow to himself:
Not to mention that this is simply a beautiful piece of music. The cellist is Steven Sharp Nelson, part of The Piano Guys.
